The Best Wedding Venues in Suffolk
At the start of your wedding journey, you are likely to be looking in to the best wedding venues in Suffolk that will suit you and your taste. There are many places to get married in Suffolk, each offering something unique. Perhaps you’d like a Suffolk wedding venue with accommodation, an outdoor ceremony space, a rustic barn or a luxury wedding venue? If there’s one element I would put at the top of my list it for choosing your venue it would be…natural light! You simply cannot beat beautiful natural light in abundance for airy, romantic images. So my advice when choosing your venue is… – choose light! I’ve been fortunate to shoot at many of the best wedding venues in Suffolk over the past few years, and there are definitely a few that stand out for me as favourites. Here’s a selection that I love to shoot at…
A FEW OF THE BEST WEDDING VENUES IN SUFFOLK:
Hengrave Hall
A luxury wedding venue in Suffolk, this beautiful historic house is the perfect place to get married with a glorious bridal suite and the Long Room, a stunning room for your wedding breakfast. There is also the cutest church on-site and immaculate grounds which are the perfect backdrop for your wedding photos. The professional team here will manage your day to perfection and Milsoms provide the food – what’s not to love?
Easton Grange
A beautiful, contemporary barn building with a ceremony room flooded with natural light – it’s always a joy to shoot here. The dining room is a large renovated barn with beams and light walls and grounds that offer so much for photography. I particularly love the areas of overgrown grass, the little bridge and the adjacent field to shoot in – so fabulous for romantic couples’ portraits. The team here are amazing too and great food.
Woolverstone Hall
During the week this is an independent school but transforms at the weekend into a grand wedding venue. This is a great one if you want to add your own personalisation as you can decorate it to your heart’s content. The dining room with floor to ceiling windows floods with light with views over the impressive gardens backing on to the River Orwell.
Woodhall Manor
This beautiful Grade II listed manor house behind iron gates is a great choice if it’s Suffolk outdoor wedding venue you’re after as ceremonies can be held in the beautiful walled garden. If you’re unlucky with the weather there’s an indoor ceremony room too. There are beautiful grounds, plentiful accommodation, lovely food and a friendly wedding team.
Glemham Hall
The wedding team here is headed up by the lovely Donna who really cares about her clients and goes the extra mile to look after people. The walled gardens here are simply beautiful and on a summer’s afternoon, there’s nowhere better. The ceremony room inside the house has grandeur by the bucket load and I love the marquee in the grounds where the reception takes place is the perfect blank canvas and beautifully light.
White Dove Barn
If you’re looking at barn wedding venues in Suffolk and would like something that has rustic charm but also offers a fully renovated space, then White Dove Barn is a great choice. This has all the atmosphere of a barn wedding but with a light and contemporary feel. There’s extensive accommodation onsite and a gorgeous bridal preparation room. Shooting here is always great fun.
