Shannon & Duane – Hintlesham Hall Wedding
I was so excited to shoot my very first Hintlesham Hall wedding and I knew that Duane and Shannon’s big day was going to be really special. They are the loveliest couple who I had grown to like very much from our meetings and their engagement shoot.
The venue is a Grade I listed mansion with stunning grounds and impressive rooms where the ceremony and wedding breakfast take place, flooded with light from huge windows. I loved the unusual colours at this wedding – the bridesmaids in nude pink sequinned dresses (and matching glittery eye-shadow!) together with stunning bouquets of shades of pink and daisies. Shannon looked the picture of elegance in a lace-backed gown and the little page boys and younger bridesmaids were also impeccably dressed.
One of my favourite parts of a wedding is the speeches as it is a really relaxed, fun part of the day, and I love capturing all the candid shots and reactions of the guests. I don’t remember laughing as much as I did at this wedding, the best man’s speech was absolutely hilarious if a little close to the mark!
Even though the surroundings were grand, the atmosphere was very laid back with all the ingredients for a perfect day… love, laughter and sunshine. A special thanks to Paul Summerfield for second shooting. Here’s a selection from the day…
